In the follow-up of the built of two successful Clipper ships, The Stad Amsterdam and Cisne Branco, Dykstra Naval Architects and Damen Shipyards have developed a new version of the full rigged sailing ship. The 87 meter new Clipper has been setup for sail training purposes for the Royal Navy of Oman and shall be a tough competitor within the Tall Ships fleet of today. Shabab Oman 2 can accommodate 94 which includes permanent crew and trainees.
She was delivered to the Royal Navy of Oman in Summer 2014.
